Description

Transform angel food cake into churro-style bites! These Air Fryer Angel Cake Churro Bites are light, crispy, and tossed in cinnamon sugar for a quick low-calorie dessert. Dip in chocolate sauce for extra indulgence without deep frying.

Ingredients

Scale

4 cups angel food cake, cut into 1-inch cubes

4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

1. Cut angel food cake into 1-inch cubes and place in a bowl.

2. Drizzle or brush cubes with melted butter and gently toss to coat.

3. Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C).

4. Place cake cubes in a single layer in the air fryer basket (work in batches if needed).

5. Air fry for 5–7 minutes, shaking halfway through, until edges are lightly golden and crisp.

6. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl.

7. While warm, toss cake bites in cinnamon sugar until evenly coated.

8. Serve immediately, optionally with chocolate sauce for dipping.

Notes

For extra crunch, add 1–2 minutes of air frying but watch closely to avoid over-browning.

To lower sugar, reduce cinnamon sugar by half or use a sugar alternative that measures like sugar.

Best served warm; re-crisp leftovers in the air fryer for 1–2 minutes.
