Description

Cheesesteak Stuffed Garlic Bread Loaf is loaded with savory ground beef, caramelized onions, and a cheesy blend of provolone and mozzarella, all packed into buttery garlic bread. Perfect for family dinners, parties, or anytime comfort food cravings strike!

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb ground beef

1 large French bread loaf

1 medium yellow onion, thinly sliced

3 cloves garlic, minced

4 tbsp butter, softened

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1 cup provolone cheese, shredded or sliced

2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Salt, to taste

Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. Slice the French bread loaf lengthwise and hollow out the center, leaving a sturdy shell.

3. Mix softened butter with minced garlic and chopped parsley to make garlic butter.

4. Spread garlic butter generously on the inside of both bread halves.

5. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned; season with salt and pepper and drain excess grease if needed.

6. Add sliced onion to the skillet; cook 6–8 minutes, stirring, until soft and lightly caramelized.

7. Layer half the mozzarella and provolone inside the bread.

8. Spoon in the beef and onion mixture evenly.

9. Top with remaining mozzarella and provolone.

10. Close the loaf; wrap loosely in foil and bake 15 minutes.

11. Uncover and bake 5–10 minutes more until the bread is crisp and cheese is fully melted.

12. Rest 3–5 minutes, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

Make it extra cheesy by adding 1/2 cup more mozzarella.

Swap ground beef with ground turkey or chicken if you prefer.

Use Monterey Jack or mild cheddar if you want a milder flavor than provolone.

For crispier bread, toast the hollowed loaf for 5 minutes before stuffing.

Store leftovers wrapped in the fridge up to 3 days; reheat at 350°F until warmed through for best texture.
