Description
Craving a sweet, crispy snack that’s fast, fun, and totally addictive? These Cinnamon Tortilla Chips are made with flour tortillas, butter, and a generous cinnamon-sugar coating—then baked (or fried) until golden and crunchy. Perfect for parties, kid-friendly snacking, and dipping in fruit salsa or yogurt.
Ingredients
6 flour tortillas (8-inch), cut into triangles
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
Pinch of salt
Honey, for serving/drizzling (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Stack tortillas and cut into triangles (like pizza slices).
3. Place tortilla triangles in a large bowl. Drizzle with melted butter and toss until evenly coated.
4. In a small bowl, mix sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
5. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar over the buttered tortillas and toss gently to coat well.
6. Arrange tortilla pieces in a single layer on the baking sheet.
7. Bake 8–12 minutes, flipping once halfway, until crisp and lightly golden (watch closely near the end).
8. Cool for 5–10 minutes to fully crisp. Drizzle with honey if desired and serve.
Notes
Baked vs fried: Baking is easiest; frying gives extra crunch—both are delicious.
For extra crisp chips: Keep chips in a single layer and bake a minute longer, watching carefully.
Lighter option: Use less butter or brush lightly instead of tossing.
Flavor boosts: Add a pinch of nutmeg or pumpkin spice to the cinnamon sugar.
Storage: Keep in an airtight container up to 3 days (best same day for max crunch).
