Description

This Crispy Dill Pickle Pizza Recipe You’ll Love is a fully dairy-free version of the viral pickle pizza, made with a creamy plant-based garlic-dill sauce, melty vegan mozzarella, and tangy dill pickles on a golden, crisp crust. It’s bold, fun, and perfect for pickle lovers or anyone looking for a unique dairy-free dinner idea.

Ingredients

Scale

For the dairy-free garlic-dill sauce:

1/2 cup dairy-free sour cream

1/4 cup vegan mayonnaise

1 teaspoon dried dill

1 teaspoon pickle juice

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon coarse salt

1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

For the pizza:

2 (1 lb) pizza dough balls

All-purpose flour, for dusting

Cornmeal, for dusting

3/4 cup dairy-free garlic-dill sauce (from above)

2 cups dairy-free shredded mozzarella cheese

2 cups sliced dill pickles, well-drained

1/2 cup dairy-free grated parmesan cheese (optional)

1 teaspoon dried dill, for garnish

Instructions

1. In a small bowl, whisk together the dairy-free sour cream, vegan mayonnaise, dried dill, pickle juice, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until smooth and creamy. Refrigerate the sauce while you prepare the pizza dough.

2. Preheat your oven to 450–475°F (230–245°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat. Otherwise, use an inverted baking sheet as your pizza surface.

3. Lightly flour your work surface and stretch or roll each pizza dough ball into a round or oval shape. Dust your pizza peel or baking sheet with cornmeal to help prevent sticking and create a crisp crust.

4. Spread about 3/4 cup of the dairy-free garlic-dill sauce evenly over the pizza bases, leaving a small border around the edges for the crust.

5. Sprinkle the dairy-free shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce. Arrange the sliced dill pickles in a single layer on top of the cheese, and add the dairy-free parmesan cheese if using.

6. Carefully transfer the pizza to the hot pizza stone or baking sheet. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and crisp and the dairy-free cheese is melted and lightly browned around the edges.

7. Remove the pizza from the oven and sprinkle with dried dill for extra aroma and flavor. Let it cool for a couple of minutes, then slice and serve while hot and crispy.

Notes

For the best texture, pat the dill pickles dry with paper towels before adding them to the pizza to prevent a soggy crust.

Use your favorite brands of dairy-free sour cream, vegan mayonnaise, and vegan cheeses—choose options that melt well for the best result.

To make this pizza gluten-free, use a gluten-free pizza dough and confirm that all packaged ingredients are gluten-free.

Fresh dill can be added after baking for a brighter, fresher flavor and beautiful presentation.

Leftover pizza can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat slices in a hot oven or air fryer to keep the crust crispy rather than microwaving.
