Description
Easy and Delicious Air Fryer Cod is a quick, healthy dinner with a crispy Parmesan breadcrumb topping and tender, flaky fish inside. Ready in under 30 minutes, it’s perfect for busy weeknights and simple meal prep.
Ingredients
2 cod fillets
2 tbsp butter, melted
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/3 cup breadcrumbs
2 tbsp Parmesan cheese, grated
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
2 lemon wedges (or more), for serving
Instructions
1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.
2. Pat cod fillets dry with paper towels. Season lightly with salt and black pepper.
3. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, and paprika until evenly combined.
4. Press the breadcrumb mixture onto the top of each cod fillet in an even layer.
5. Place cod in the air fryer basket in a single layer (don’t overlap).
6. Air fry 8–10 minutes, or until topping is golden and fish flakes easily with a fork.
7. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
Notes
Fish swaps: Haddock, pollock, or tilapia work well.
Extra crunch: Use panko breadcrumbs.
Dairy-free: Use olive oil or plant-based butter + dairy-free Parmesan.
Storage: Refrigerate leftovers up to 2 days. Reheat in air fryer at 350°F for 3–4 minutes to re-crisp.
