Description
This Easy Matcha Latte with Lavender Cold Foam is a refreshing, café-style iced drink you can make at home in just 10 minutes. Smooth matcha tea is layered with creamy oat milk, then topped with lightly sweet, floral lavender cold foam for a beautiful green-and-purple finish—perfect for brunch or an afternoon treat.
Ingredients
For the Matcha Latte:
2 1/2 tsp matcha powder (sifted)
1 tbsp hot water (not boiling)
1 1/2 tbsp simple syrup (or maple syrup)
1 1/4 cup oat milk
1 cup ice
For the Lavender Cold Foam:
1 3/4 oz heavy cream
1 oz milk
1 1/4 tbsp lavender syrup
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
4 drops purple food coloring (optional)
Instructions
1. Sift the matcha powder into a small bowl to remove clumps.
2. Add hot water and whisk (zigzag motion) until smooth and frothy.
3. Stir in the simple syrup until fully combined.
4. Fill a tall glass with ice, then pour in the oat milk.
5. Slowly pour the whisked matcha over the oat milk (stir or keep layered).
6. In a separate bowl, whisk heavy cream, milk, lavender syrup, and vanilla until slightly thickened and pourable.
7. Add purple food coloring (optional) and whisk gently to combine.
8. Spoon the lavender cold foam over the latte.
9. Serve immediately and enjoy.
Notes
Use high-quality matcha for the smoothest flavor and brightest green color.
For dairy-free foam, swap heavy cream for coconut cream and use non-dairy milk.
Adjust sweetness by adding more or less simple syrup and lavender syrup.
Cold foam is best right after whipping and will settle after about 10–15 minutes.
Optional garnish: a tiny sprinkle of culinary lavender or a dusting of matcha.
