Description
Delightful Tiramisu Cups made with espresso-soaked ladyfingers and a fluffy mascarpone cream. These no-bake individual desserts are quick to assemble, perfect for parties, and can be made family-friendly by skipping the alcohol.
Ingredients
2 cups ladyfingers (or sponge cake), broken into pieces
1 cup espresso or strong coffee, cooled
1 tbsp Kahlua (optional)
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup mascarpone cheese
1/2 cup powdered sugar
Cocoa powder, for dusting
Instructions
1. Brew espresso or strong coffee and let it cool completely. Stir in Kahlua if using.
2. Whip the heavy cream to soft peaks in a chilled bowl.
3. In a separate bowl, mix mascarpone and powdered sugar until smooth.
4. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until light and fluffy.
5. Quickly dip ladyfingers into the cooled espresso (do not soak).
6. Add a layer of dipped ladyfingers to the bottom of each cup.
7. Spoon or pipe a layer of mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers.
8. Repeat the layers once more, ending with mascarpone cream on top.
9. Dust generously with cocoa powder.
10. Cover and chill 2–4 hours (or overnight) before serving.
Notes
Family-friendly option: omit Kahlua and use decaf coffee if desired.
Don’t soak the ladyfingers—just a quick dip to avoid sogginess.
Make ahead: best after chilling at least 2–4 hours; keeps up to 3 days refrigerated.
Substitution: if mascarpone isn’t available, use softened full-fat cream cheese plus 1–2 tbsp milk.
