Description
These irresistible 3 Ingredient Banana Brownies are rich, fudgy, and naturally sweet—perfect for a quick dessert or healthier snack. Made with ripe bananas, nut butter, and cocoa (plus optional vanilla), they bake fast and satisfy chocolate cravings with minimal effort.
Ingredients
2 1/4 cups ripe bananas, mashed until smooth
3/4 cup creamy nut butter (peanut butter recommended)
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper or lightly grease.
2. In a large bowl, mix mashed bananas, nut butter, cocoa powder, and vanilla until completely smooth and uniform in color.
3. Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly into corners with a spatula.
4. Bake 17–22 minutes, until edges are set and center has a slight jiggle (19–20 minutes for fudgier brownies).
5. Cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes, then slice into squares and serve.
Notes
For best sweetness, use very ripe bananas with brown spots.
Creamy nut butter gives the smoothest, fudgiest texture.
Substitutions: almond butter or sunflower seed butter work well; cacao powder can replace cocoa 1:1.
Don’t overbake—slightly underbaked centers set as they cool.
Storage: airtight container 2 days at room temp, up to 5 days refrigerated, or freeze up to 2 months.
Nutrition is estimated and will vary based on banana size and the nut butter used.
