Description

Millionaire Gnocchi with Creamy Sauce is a quick, cozy, gourmet-style dinner made with golden pan-seared potato gnocchi tossed in a rich garlic parmesan cream sauce, finished with rosemary, parsley, and optional chili flakes.

Ingredients

Scale

400 g potato gnocchi

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated (plus more for serving)

1 tsp fresh rosemary, finely chopped

1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

1/4 tsp chili flakes (optional, to taste)

Salt, to taste

Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add gnocchi in a single layer and sear 2–3 minutes per side until golden and lightly crisp.

2. Transfer gnocchi to a plate. Reduce heat to medium and add butter to the same skillet.

3. Add minced garlic and sauté about 30 seconds until fragrant (do not brown).

4. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer, stirring.

5. Add parmesan, rosemary, chili flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Stir until melted and the sauce thickens slightly, 2–3 minutes.

6. Return gnocchi to the skillet and toss to coat evenly in the creamy sauce.

7. Remove from heat. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and extra parmesan. Serve warm.

Notes

For a milder, kid-friendly version, skip the chili flakes.

Lighter option: use half-and-half instead of heavy cream (sauce will be thinner).

Cheese swap: Grana Padano or Pecorino Romano work well.

Add-ins: sauté mushrooms or spinach after the garlic, before adding cream.

Storage: refrigerate up to 2 days; reheat gently with a splash of milk or cream.
