Description
Crispy on the outside and warm and gooey inside, these Fried Nutella Dumplings are an easy dessert made with wonton wrappers and a quick Nutella filling. Fry until golden, dust with powdered sugar, and serve warm for a fast sweet treat that’s perfect for parties or late-night cravings.
Ingredients
12 wonton wrappers
12 teaspoons Nutella (about 1 tsp per dumpling)
2 cups vegetable or canola oil (for frying, or enough for 2 inches in the pan)
2 tablespoons powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)
1 small bowl water (for sealing wrappers)
Chocolate sauce (optional, for serving)
Vanilla ice cream (optional, for serving)
Instructions
1. Place one wonton wrapper on a clean surface and add 1 teaspoon Nutella to the center.
2. Dip a finger in water and lightly wet the edges of the wrapper.
3. Fold into a triangle (or bring corners together) and press firmly to seal, removing air pockets.
4. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat until hot (a tiny piece of wrapper should sizzle immediately).
5. Fry dumplings in batches for 1–2 minutes per side, until golden brown and crisp.
6. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
7. Dust with powdered sugar if desired and serve warm with chocolate sauce or vanilla ice cream.
Notes
Do not overfill—too much Nutella can leak during frying.
Seal edges tightly to prevent bursting; press out air pockets before frying.
For a lighter option: brush with oil and air-fry at 375°F (190°C) for 6–8 minutes, flipping halfway.
Or bake at 400°F (205°C) for 10–12 minutes until crisp and golden.
Best served fresh; reheat leftovers in an oven or air fryer to bring back crispness.
